Well I took a stab at the August GDT sketch for Sketchy Thursdays. The Challenge was to use the color yellow and a hand made embellishment with the sketch. Well I obviously have the yellow covered and the handmade embellishments are the trim and the granny square which I crocheted. This is one of the few LO's I've done that's going in my book about me. The items in the pictures are all things my mom or grandma made for me or that my great grandma made for my mom. My Grandma is actually the one who taught me how to crochet. She showed me how to do it and then ripped it all apart when she wasn't satisfied with the quality.

Beautiful layout! I love all you handmade things and how you created a layout about all the things your grandmother made for you! Sweet...
I absolutely love this page! It is a beautiful layout but I especially love how you have created a new family treasure by preserving the the artistry of so many generations, including your own.
Great layout, I love the crochet trim. And it's a great story too. I wish I'd had more patience when my nan tried to teach me how to knit! x
