Hi everyone. Today I'm participating in Jennifer's Organization Celebration Blog Hop. Jennifer at Jennifer's Jumbles word for the year is Organize and she's decided to share what is and isn't working for her by organizing this blog hop. Oh and if you make every stop on the hop you should notice a special letter at each stop. Put these letters together at the end to make a phrase and e-mail Jennifer the phrase for a chance to win a prize package of October Afternoon 9 to 5 and Studio Calico Take Note goodness. You have until Monday July 2 at 11:59pm BST to submit your entry. So I recommend you keep a close eye out for the special letter (T) as I don't intend to make it to obvious (T-T-T-T-T-T-T).
If you just happened across my blog today and aren't yet hopping you can start HERE!
For the blog hop I decided to share some of my travel storage. You see when I started scrapbooking it wasn't at my own house, I was taken to a crop and then sought out more crops (and more and more...T) So for me it was a social thing outside of the home. Well now that I have my own craft room I do most of my scrapbooking at home but I still like to keep pretty mobile in case a crop opportunity comes up. And my favorite on the go storage isn't scrapbook storage per se but items bought at the hardware store. They're generally less expensive and way more sturdy than storage made specifically for scrapbooking.
This one is very popular around here. I found my tote at a Menards it's made by Plano Pro and called their rolling workstation. It's a great scrapbooking tote. (T) The bottom fits 12x12 paper I keep my kits in here as they're perfect to take to crops. The drawers fit ink, glitter, embellies, etc... and the top will fit tools punches or deeper items. At least that's what I keep in mine. It gets pretty heavy if you keep a lot of paper in the bottom of it but it's on wheels and pretty easy to get in and out of a backseat or a trunk. It may not be pretty and pink but this thing rocks! (T-T-T!)
The other item I thought I'd share is my tool bucket. Look at the cushy handle on this thing, it also has a shoulder strap. I bought this at Lowes with a coupon and it was a great price. The inside is separated into different compartments and it has pockets on all sides, some zip up some don't. This is what I sit on the table right in front of me at a crop and I love it. (T) You can find a wide range of these babies, some are lower, some have less compartments, are smaller or bigger. However I wouldn't recommend too much bigger as they become heavy and cumbersome.
So if you want to get out and crop more, go to your local hardware store and buy some good old travel storage that will last!
Now to continue on to the hop go see Lisa-Jane. If you want to see the entire list go see Jennifer. And don't forget to look around for those secret letters...T

I love your storage solutions! Especially the last one!
These are great! I remember when all my craft supplies fit in one travel bag!

Can you believe I have never been to a crop! Your organization is impressive though!
You and I are on the same wavelength! My art supplies portable storage all comes from the hardware store... Previously known as tollbags, or other 'blokey' things.
Is Lowes a hardware store? I have a rolling tote and an embellisment box both from hardware stores and originally designed for men's tools - they are both ace and all the better for not being pink in my opinion!
Oh and I meant to say that I love cropping with friends - I don't get as much done but it's so much more fun (and we share so it's like having twice as much stash)!
Your big tote looks brilliant. It's rare that I craft away from home so don't have anything dedicated to the job.
Brilliant tip! I would never have thought to check out the hardware store for a tote!
Would you believe I've never been to a crop? When I eventually go to one I'll visit the hardware store first!
Thanks so much for joining in with my blog hop! x
i'm a stay at home and crop kinda girl! I haven't a clue what i'd pack to go to a crop. you do look super organised though.
I definitely have serious tote-envy!
Great mobile storage...always needed for those "must go to" crops!
Ohhhhhhhh I loveeeeeeee both your travel bags!!!
That's an awesome rolling tote! We have such limited options in England. I'm happy with my desk top bag though - its similar to yours too (great minds and all that.. ;-))
I love your storage ideas, especially the bucket, what a cool idea!
Amazing organization sweetie, I could never go to a crop I would need a U-Haul truck lol
Hugs! Frank
Oh I have a confession to make - I have two travel totes and I think I only ever used 1 and just once and I can assure you I was not as organized as you. You look as thought you have it down pat. I think I must get out to more crops - umm, after I hit the hardware store.
great totes for on the go!
Thank you for the letter... it wasn't obvious LOL
hugs from México

Thanks for the letter !
Wow, that certainly looks more sturdy than some of the bags I see people rock up with at my local crop! Nice find!
Fab storage ideas! I need to visit a hardware store soon.
Great storage ideas, TFS!
Those both look HUGE and mighty handy!! I don't crop away - only have online scrappy friends - sigh...not very popular hobby in these parts...But if I did crop I'd want your bags for sure!!
