Challenges and Challenges and Challenges!!!

I know it is so sad that we've decided to close down Scrapbookers Anonymous but I must say I'm loving the scrappy freedom.  Last night my bff Theresa came over to crop and we played along with whatever challenges we wanted! It was so much fun.  I have 3 projects to share for you but they're for 6 challenges so beware, this post might get long.

First of all I just want to say I LOVE La-La Land Stamps.  I discovered them just this year and have already collected a good (almost embarrassing) amount of them. They have a customer gallery on their blog where you can upload your La-La Land creations each month.  And this past week for inspiration they're challenging you to recycle/ alter something.
Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge is banners, well how easy and fun is that, every other layout I make these days has a banner so I love this challenge.
So combining the La-La Land and Frosted Design Challenges I made this:
My recycled items are the foam alphas in the background.  I stuck them down and covered them with paint.  Just a note, foam alphas suck up a lot of paint, so the color shows through a little but I like the look of it.  The stamped image is mostly fussy cut and paper pieced, with some copics and stickles added.
(patterned paper, from March Cocoa Daisy kit)
(ribbon, from stash jars, but some is MME)
(text bubble, MME)
(butterflies, AC)
(stamp, La-La-Land Hunny Bunny Marci)

Okay, so when I was visiting my favorite challenge blogs and discovered the words at Bird is the Word are Sparkle and Charm, I'll admit I thought, well maybe I'll play along next time.  And then when I first saw the fish paper below in my Cocoa Daisy March kit, I thought, I'll never use that side of the paper.  Well that being said, this layout should have never been...

Everything on here except the tape (which is the new Bella Blvd stuff) is from March's Cocoa Daisy kit.  As you can see, fish paper, and the word Sparkle in the title.  The sketch is from Stuck?!, which I did love at first site.  I'll likely use this sketch again!

Okay, and lastly I have a card to share for City Crafter Challenge Blog.  Their week 103 challenge is "Hat's Off to You!!!"  Well, I had to do this, as I have this lovely hat stamp set from Lawn Fawn, with a stamped sentiment that says, hats off to you!  Perfect, meant to be, all of that...

I know, this doesn't look like much, but there's a lot of fussy cutting going on here.  The card is made from scraps of MME.

Whew, that's about it.  I think I covered all sources of inspiration and products.  Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend, if this is a holiday weekend for you!  And happy scrappin'!!!

These are GREAT...it's wonderful to see you doing lots of scrapping...LOVE all that fussy cutting & I ADORE the fish LO that almost wasn't....& you're right, the foam alphas do absorb the paint, but they look really sweet. Happy Easter to you, too:):):)
