Bros

So my son Gavin loves the Mario Brothers characters.  He and the other schooled age boys who go to daycare in the summer are allowed to bring their Nintendo DS game systems.  They're allowed to play them a bit in the morning and then when the younger kids are napping, basically when peace is wanted.  On Friday Gavin asked if he could bring his Mario and Luigi hats to daycare as well.  Shortly after getting to work I received a picture from Jodi our daycare provider... and had to scrapbook it!
(Pink Paislee tissue paper,  Pink Paislee clear, Smash tape, KI puffies, Echo Park brads, blue duct tape, a Crafters workshop template, Jenni Bowlin paint dobber)

Gavin is on the right and his friend Bryce is on the left... wearing the hats, playing their DS's, and calling each other Bro.

The layout is based on Sketch #168 at Skissedilla.  A very funky artsy challenge site which I admit to find a bit intimidating but the sketch drew me in and the DT work is AH-MAZING, so go check it out!

Thanks for looking! :)

So happy to see you scrapping again! Love this layout! It made me think of my son when he was little and his obsession with the Mario Bros.

Ooh, I love the colours on this, and the painting. Great page. And the photo is too cute. I'm glad Mario Bros is still a favourite, I remember playing it when I was little - though the consoles were a bit larger! x
