Very Flowery

Hi everyone!  Sorry I haven’t been visiting blogs but I had a great busy weekend and it looks like I’m going to have a great and busy week.  Friday night I was invited to a play group by a friend.   On Saturday I was up bright and early and my dear friend Theresa and I went to Ikea… sigh.  Her birthday was  Friday and I told her I’d block out Saturday for her.  We thought of scrapbooking but opted to go shopping instead.  Ikea (sigh) is about 1.5 hours from where we live and neither of us had ever been there.  It was so much fun and it’s a good thing for my credit card that we didn’t have a bigger vehicle with us because we really loaded up her little car.  After Ikea we ate and then went to Archiver’s.  Archiver’s is a chain here in the states that really does have a great supply of scrapbooking goodness but can be a little pricey.  We behaved ourselves (for the most part) and came out of there with each a bag of pretty things. J
Anyway, this was just supposed to be a quick post and look at me blathering on and on.  I do have some projects to share.  This is a layout I made a couple of weeks back but didn't get it photographed in time to submit to Creative Scrappers sketch #213.  I thought it was still worth posting here though. Very flowery Prima paper, that I've been hording.  Pictures are of Marin bellowing SoWhat by P!ink at the park.  Yes, thanks to the Chipmunks soundtracks her favorite songs to sing are this one and one by Lady Gaga.  It is pretty dang entertaining though.
Another little flowery project is this gift box I altered.  Okay this was ridiculously easy and fun.  I see everyone altering so many things and I think to myself that I wish I had time to do more of that.  Well this little box took less than 30 minutes including gesso and mist, thanks to my heat gun.

So that's it.  Thanks for tolerating my wordy post and checking out my flowery projects! :)

These are so pretty! Love the flowers! :) Ikea sounds fun- I've had my eye on a kitchen cart there, so I may have to just order online!

I love IKEA, it's too bad that we don't one here in Vegas, the nearest one I can get to is Burbank, 4.5 hours away, sigh..... I used to visit Ikea on a daily basis when I lived in Singapore, those were the good old days!

I love your pretty layout and that cute altered box, now I can't wait to see what you come up with your latest pretty buy at the scrapbook store.

Shopping trip sounds like fun. My husband hates Ikea so we never go but I really love the experience and all the little things you can buy. Thank you for all your nice comments on my blog. I was wondering if I could have your email address as I have something I would like to tell you but don't want the world to know !

Hahaha, I know, Ikea can be deadly!!! I just dream of what I would buy if I can go back one day, but the closest one is still 4-5 hours away, so my credit card is happy about that! Love your projects = your page is so pretty (cute pics!) and I would never even think to alter a gift box - the result is very cool! Happy 4th, hugs, Roxy.
